Belinda McKinion is the principal of Saltillo Elementary School and an avid arts enthusiast. She co-wrote the first Arts in the Classroom grant for SES in 2006, and has supported and led staff through complete arts integration for the past 13 years. She has written and presented arts integrated, cross-curricular professional development in Lee County School District, as well as surrounding districts. She strongly believes that effective arts integrated instruction is the key to reaching all learning styles, increasing retention of skills and completely transforming school culture and climate. Saltillo Elementary is currently a WSI Model School and serves grades 3rd through 5th.
