This workshop will examine ways to bring the Hispanic world into a variety of classrooms using the arts to explore flora, fauna, folktales, languages and more. We will examine how masks work to create cross-cultural conversations across the Americas. We will also look at how butterflies link us with our Mexican neighbors and how molas from Panamá reflect a tradition that brings textile arts, storytelling, and the natural world together while also benefitting the local economy.
