Amelia Brame

Amelia Brame, is originally a native of Southern Utah, although she has lived the past eight years in the South. After graduating from Brigham Young University in 2008 with her BA in Dance, she and her husband moved to Houston, TX for him to be able to attend graduate school at Rice University. During her time there she taught in multiple studios, taught a full-time dance program at a Title One public high school, taught at various dance education conferences and danced professionally with Collective Sound Cloggers and South Belt Area Dance Company.

Since being in Mississippi, she has looked for ways to share her love of Dance Education through the public school system. She recently took a job combining Music and Movement at Bowmar Avenue Elementary School. She looks forward to this new creative effort as she integrates music and movement to teach the whole child. In her spare time, she is a mom to her favorite two-year old, works on her Masters in Dance Education, teaches modern dance at Debra Franco School of Dance and helps with choreography at Vicksburg Theatre Guild.
