Miriam Carman has 13 ½ years experience in elementary education, both regular education and special education. She works to individualized instruction based on students’ needs and interest to ensure all students achieve their full potential.  After teaching regular education for 9 years, Miriam decided to become certified in special education as well to help her inclusion students close the gap in the regular classroom. She considers herself a lifelong learner who is dedicated to growing in ways that will benefit both her students and herself.  She obtained her National Board of Professional Teachers Certification in 2009 and her Masters of Arts in Elementary Education in 2012. She enjoys incorporating the arts into her daily classroom lessons.  She feels that arts in the classroom is a wonderful learning tool and can be used with for all types of learners.
