Patricia Carreras is an actor, a mime, a puppeteer, and a director. She has been working as a teaching artist since 1985, sharing her skills and her art forms in thousands of schools across the nation. She attended SUNY Buffalo and earned a Masters Degree in Theatre and Film in 1984. She trained and mentored at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center Institute, Wolf Trap Early Learning with the Arts, and with the Visual Training Initiatives. She has performed regularly in all types of venues with shows that specifically engage audiences in reading and language arts. In addition to her work as a Teaching Artist and Performer in the Schools, Patricia is also an adjunct professor at the University of Memphis where she teaches Ballroom Dance and Movement Concepts to Athletes. She has been on the Mississippi Artist Roster since 2014.
