Tina Morgan
Tina Morgan is a music specialist who began her career in the Columbus Municipal School District in 1989. She holds an Associate of Arts degree from Itawamba Community College as well as a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Education in Differentiated Instruction from Mississippi University for Women. She is a member of the National Education Association, serving as president of the local affiliate from 2013 through 2015. Additionally, Tina is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), having served as a district chairperson for the organization.
A presenter at workshops and training sessions in the Columbus Municipal School District, Mississippi University for Women, and at the Whole Schools Institute, Tina has also volunteered as an assessor/test administrator for the National Federal of Music Clubs festivals and has been a judge for NAfME honor choir auditions.
Since 2009, Tina has been assistant director of the Columbus Junior Girlchoir. She sings with the Columbus Choral Society, performing with them in Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2014, and set to perform with them in the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans in May 2017. She has been the organist at Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1998.
